New Ke$ha Single ‘Supernatural’ Inspired After Sexual Encounter With A Ghost…

Yeah, ‘WTF?’ is right. According to an interview with KIIS FM (Via NME) pop sensation Ke$ha based her latest single on a sexy experience she had of the paranormal kind.

Supernatural is all “about experiences with the supernatural,” she started, “but in a sexy way. I had a couple of experiences with the supernatural,” adding that “I don’t know his name! He was a ghost! I’m very open to it”. Different strokes for different folks I suppose. What is probably even more alarming is just how blaze she seems about the ordeal. Though this probably isn’t the first time an unnamed man has vanished into thin air for Ke$ha. But I digress.

The recent inclination towards the supernatural stems from a highly spiritual adventure through Africa undertaken by the songstress totally on her lonesome. This experience shaped most of her new album, as she explains: “The theme of this record is magic. I went on a spirit journey by myself. No security guard. No managers. I just went around the world and lived on a boat… I was in Africa rehabilitating baby lions. I went diving with great white sharks, and just went on this crazy spirit quest. I got hypnotised, and I just really wanted this record to be really positive, really raw, really vulnerable and about the magic of life.”

The album will be her sophomore full-length following up on her 2010 debut Animal. The Black Keys’ drummer Patrick Carney, The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne, and Iggy Pop are all set to feature on the release, entitled Warrior.
