The Temper Trap’s AFL Grand Final Half-time Performance Receives Mixed Response

The spotlight was on Australian indie band The Temper Trap during half-time at the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne today. Following the public criticism of last year’s act – Meatloaf – the honchos at the AFL decided to go with local talent for this year’s entertainment, and The Temper Trap got the nod.

The band performed 3 tracks: Trembling Hands from this year’s self-titled release, along with Drum Song and Sweet Disposition from their 2009 album Conditions.

Social media went wild during the half-time break, with everyone giving their 2 cents worth on the performance. The overall opinion seems to be that they were better than Meatloaf, but not everyone was impressed.
