Foals Announce Big Day Out Sideshow (Second Show Announced)

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come. While in town for Big Day Out next year, Foals will be performing only 1 sideshow at Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory.

At the club show, Australian fans will receive the title of some of the first in the world to experience the band’s forthcoming album, Holy Fire in a live setting. Music lovers all over the world began to drool from the mouth when, only recently, the band revealed some of the details behind the release. Frontman Yannis Philippakis explained to NME that the album contains “some heavier moments and some dirtier moments. It’s swampy, some of the grooves are quite stinky.”

Since the band’s debut in 2007, they have proven themselves nothing if not unstoppable. Back in the dates of cult single Hummer, the band were in huge demand. Over the years, and after releases such as 2008’s Antidote and 2010’s Total Life Forever, that demand grew exponentially.

A band at this level is sure to absolutely destroy a small, close-quarters club show, so be sure to get in quickly or you will be kicking yourself.
