Led Zeppelin Albums To Be Remastered With New Material

Although we might not see the mighty rock legends Led Zeppelin ever reunite, there’s still plenty to be excited about as the band are making a number of efforts to please fans, including their recent concert film Celebration Day. Now guitarist Jimmy Page revealed that he is working on remastering a number of albums from their back catalogue.

Page, who also had a big hand in overseeing the DVD release of Celebration Day, revealed in an interview with Mojo that not only would fans get remastered material, but they would also get new material for each album. Speaking of what’s ahead, Page told the magazine: “There are a number of Led Zeppelin projects that will come out next year because there are different versions of tracks that we have that can be added to the album, so there will be box sets of material that will come out, starting next year. There will be one box set per album with extra music that will surface.”

Artist Fhepard Fairey, who worked on the DVD artwork, is tipped to be working on the re-designed artwork for these reissues as well.

Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has also been busy lately, recently revealing that he lent his vocal talents to Primal Scream’s new album, which is due out next year. We’ll also see Plant appear on the Bluesfest 2013 lineup next year as well.
