George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic has announced a string of sideshows while in Australia next year as part of Golden Plains Music Festival. When Clinton was added to the Golden Plains 2013 lineup last month, it opened up speculation that Australian fans could expect some headlining shows from one of music’s most cherished champions and innovators.
Well, it seems that local audiences are in for more of a spectacle than just your usual gig as Clinton brings his ’22 piece psychedelic extravaganza’ Galactic Space Circus in full scale for the first time since his 2002 visit. The incredibly extravagant shows features a touring ensemble of virtuoso musicians, dancers, singers, roller girls, circus clowns and ‘galatic space travellers’.
