Nine Inch Nails Working On New Material

Trent Reznor recently told Rolling Stone that fans can definitely expect new material from Nine Inch Nails sometime in the future. When being interviewed by the storied magazine about his recent tune for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, Reznor confessed that NIN is indeed gearing up for some new tunes.

“All signs point to yes,” responded Reznor when asked of possible new NIN music, “Yeah, there will be new music. There are some things in the works.”

Furthermore, when asked if new Nine Inch Nails music means the band could one day return to touring, Reznor again gave a nod to the affirmative.

“Yeah, if it feels right, it’s a possibility,” Reznor told Rolling Stone, “I never said that that wasn’t going to happen, just that it couldn’t go on as it was. Having a few years doing other things, I’ve enjoyed [them] and I’m enjoying doing How to Destroy Angels, and there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch Nails column of things. It’s a different kind of work.”

Back in January Reznor said he planned to work on material for Nine Inch Nails during 2012. However, it seemed as though any NIN reformation ambitions were shelved to make room for Reznor’s ‘creative collective’ How To Destroy Angels, who recently released a performance video for lead single Keep It Together taken from pcoming EP Omen.
