Swedish House Mafia Australian Tour To Be Announced Tomorrow?

In a recent turn of events, it looks like the world’s favourite European DJ trio, the Swedish House Mafia, may not have forsaken us Australians in their final farewell tour after all. From the beginning, Australia has played an essential role in their development, and although we have only seen one tour from them, that was not the first time they had been here as a group.

Yesterday, Music Feeds reported that an unusual tweet had been posted by the trio, which heavily hinted at an Australian tour. Well, overnight, multiple more tweets have been posted, effectively confirming their tour.

Although it is yet to be announced, Music Feeds believe that the trio will storm the stage at Sydney’s Skoda Stadium, better known as the home of Big Day Out, Soundwave, Sterosonic, and of course, The Royal Easter Show. The below tweet depicts an aerial photograph of Skoda Stadium, repeated three times to represent their infamous dots. Although it isn’t an actual ‘Dot Spot’ we’re pretty confident that it’s on the money

Having recorded their club banger ‘Antidote’ with Australia’s own Knife Party in two Sydney studios across the summer of 2011, Australia is not an unfamiliar site to the trio. Furthermore, their latest single Don’t Worry Child was written drawing inspiration from our great nation as they toured earlier this year in March.

The announcement that they would retire from the decks to pursue solo careers and the family life came as a slight shock to some, as they posted on their website that they would end their time as a group. Not after One Last Tour however. The tour announcement came, and many Australians were left disappointed and questioned if they were being selfish, expecting a tour less than twelve months after their headline slot at Future Music Festival. However over the past twenty four hours, a series of tweets have emerged from the group which basically confirm that they are coming.

Speculation circling this impending announcement has led to the belief that they will repeat their infamous Milton Keynes Bowl concert, which saw the likes of Madeon, Calvin Harris, Pete Tong, Alesso, No ID and Example pool together to celebrate their last ever UK performance.

However, if you are like me, and still refuse to believe that Radiohead are touring next week until you see them on stage, then you will have to patiently wait for the next twenty four hours until the final announcement drops. Until then, here is a collection of tweets that basically confirms their Australian tour.
