The Killers Cancel Show Mid-Set Due To Voice Problems, Cancel Following Shows

UK fans of The Killers have been left disappointed overnight after the band were forced to pull the plug just 4 songs into a set after frontman Brandon Flowers began having vocal difficulties.

The Manchester Arena crowd were set to be one of the first in the world to watch the band’s latest album Battle Born in live action, though soon after lights-on, Flowers tapped out, telling the fans that his voice had totally ‘gone’, according to NME. He immediately walked off stage.

It appears that the problems haven’t gotten any better, with the band announcing via Facebook that the next two shows of the tour are being reshuffled, but not before apologising deeply for their performance. “Manchester, we started something we couldn’t finish and we’re so, so sorry. Working on rescheduling tonight and tomorrow’s shows. Will let you know new dates ASAP. ♥K”

The band then took to Twitter to confirm that the next two shows the following nights will be cancelled, and new dates will be announced soon.

According to Manchester Arena Spokesperson Matt Ward, Flowers had conplained about a sore throat prior to showtime, but attempted to push on, “Unfortunately, he was unable to continue with the rest of the show.” He added that the new dates will come within 48 hours and will be sometime within the new year.
