Watch: Tame Impala ‘Lonerism’ Studio Sessions

Tame Impala, those psychedelic lads from Perth, are the feature artist in the second instalment of Modular’s ongoing series Studio Sessions. Filmed in the basement of Fremantle’s Norfolk Hotel, the session sees Tame Impala perform Elephant, Apocalypse Dreams, and Feels Like We Only Go Backwards from 2012 record Lonerism.

The album Lonerism (the second from Tame Impala) was recently nominated for The Album of the Year in triple j’s J Awards. Should Tame Impala win, it will make them the first band to ever take out the award twice. Tame Impala first won Album of the Year in 2010 with their debut LP Innerspeaker.

Tame Impala also recently released a music video for single Feels Like We Only Go Backwards. The clip mirrors the mood of the music perfectly and helps you further melt into the tripped-out carefree metaphysical galaxy that is Tame Impala’s sound.
