Ja Rule Expecting Early Release From Prison

See, I was wondering why no one had heard from Ja Rule these past few years. But it’s looking like that’s all about to change come early next year.

Since 2011, Ja Rule has been in prison for charges relating to weapons possession, according to Complex Music.

Ja has now had his sentence cut short and will most likely be freed as early as February 2013. He has apparently put his time away to good use, earning his high school diploma and scoring a position in an upcoming film I’m In Love With a Church Girl, all the while probably experiencing some Thug Lovin’ of a different kind.

Ja Rule dominated the airwaves throughout the late 90s/early 00s. Up to something like album number 8, even a cell couldn’t stop him. While doing his time, he’s put together Renaissance Project, his up-and-coming album, which he will be showcasing throughout his 40 Days and 40 Nights tour that he has already booked, once again, from behind bars.
