Stone Roses Australian Tour 2013 – Future Music Sideshows

The legendary ‘Madchester’ group the Stone Roses will be playing their own headline shows on the back of their appearance on the Future Music Festival 2013 lineup, playing three dates, including the Riverstage in Brisbane on 1st March, Hordern Pavillion in Sydney on 6th March and Festival Hall in Melbourne on 7th March.

Arguably one of the most influential British groups of all time, going on to inspire two generations of musicians in their wake, their reformation in late 2011 saw them arrive back on the scene with some force, instantly selling out their comeback shows (that’s 220,000 tickets in just over an hour).

Their self-titled album released in 1989 is widely considered to be one of the greatest albums ever made, but sadly they disbanded in 1996, with little hope of them ever stepping on stage together again. Last year after months of speculation, the band’s original lineup of Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani (aka Gary Mounfield) and Reni (aka Alan Wren) announced that they would be playing live together again, and who knows, we may even get a new album as well.

Tickets on sale Thursday, 13th December at 12noon (All Ages) at $95 + B/F. Zane Lowe will be joining them as guest.
