Jay-Z Unveils New Barclays Center Documentary

Well, he is a busy, busy man isn’t he. Yesterday, Music Feeds reported that Jay-Z had been announced as official curator of music for Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film The Great Gatsby. Now it appears that the man of the moment has been working on a documentary to coincide with his 43rd birthday celebrations. The autobiographical documentary follows his recent show at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Titled Where I’m From, the documentary follows the journey of both Jay and the Barclays Center over the past year. In essence, the success of Jay-Z has been solidified through his involvement with the aforementioned Barclays Center, which is home of the New York Knicks and which has basically become a representation of success for those in Brooklyn.

The crux of the documentary, however, comes in the form of the actual live show, which is a spectacle in itself. The eight-show marathon, accompanied by one of the most impressive stage sets seen in recent years, is showcased magnificently within the documentary, showing the true power of the man himself. Anyway, enough words, I present you with Where I’m From: JAY Z Barclays Center Documentary:
