Dizzee Rascal To Drop New EP On New Year’s Day

Here’s a pretty sweet way to kick off your 2013 – especially if you’re a fan of Dizzee Rascal.

NME reports that the UK rapper has announced that he will release a six-track EP on New Year’s Day – the first taste of his fifth studio album, which will be out a few months later.

The EP will be available for download on iTunes, while Dizzee is also going to premiere the video for a new track titled Bassline Junkie on his online channel DirteeTV.com.

Apart from dropping a few lines at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, Dizzee has been spending most of this year working on the follow-up to 2009’s Tounge N’ Cheek.

“It’s all new material and just a taster of all the good new music we got coming in the new year!” Dizzee said.

“The ‘Bassline Junkie’ video is gonna have people in stitches. 1 love!”

Dizzee will be sending people Bonkers (literally) when he does the Future Music Festival around the country in February and March. He’ll also spend some time sending the young ones crazy at the Good Life Festival in Melbourne.
