Lady Gaga Offering Mental Health Counselling

Always one to search really far out of the box for ideas, Lady Gaga has announced that she will be offering free mental health counselling while on the road for the next leg of her Born This Way tour.

The idea will be the next instalment on behalf of the Born This Way Foundation, which the songstress created in 2011 with her associate and mother Cynthia Germanotta. The foundation’s mission statement vows “to foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated.”

The sessions will take place during the BornBrave pre-show onboard Gaga’s very own Born Brave bus. According to the LA Times, Gaga took to Facebook to announce that on the bus, “you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, depression, bullying, school & friends. There will also be food and games, DJ White Shadow and Lady Starlight will DJ with host BREEDLOVE to keep the experience fun,”

Gaga continued to add via the post, “BornBrave Bus Is a place where mental health + depression are taken seriously w/ no judgement, FREE real help available to all. I feel like most kids don’t look for help because they feel embarrassed so mom + I wanted to break the stigmas around ‘help’ and make it fun.”

The tour will start up again in Vancouver, and finishes in LA at the end of the month.
