Pink Sued For Over $36,000 For Unpaid Royalties

Pink has been issued with a lawsuit that claims the performer owes $36,213.31 to an ex-producer. As reported by TMZ, Pink, real name Alecia Moore, signed a deal with Specialists Entertainment to assist in producing her debut album, 2000’s Can’t Take Me Home.

The lawsuit claims that the company and the performer agreed to an even split of 50-50 for producers’ royalties on two tracks, Hiccup and Can’t Take Me Home. The album went on to sell 5 million copies and helped establish Pink as an international pop sensation.

A spokesperson for Pink has argued that it is not the singer’s responsibility to ensure that Specialists Entertainment was correctly paid, stating that: “Sony are responsible for paying the producers”.

Pink is scheduled to tour Australia later this year.
