Young + Restless No More – Final Show this Friday

After only four and a half years as a band, Canberra-born indie metal heads Young + Restless are calling it quits. The band play their FINAL show this Friday Aug 21 @ The Arthouse, Melbourne

The band blogged on their Myspace overnight “through relocating interstate, lineup changes, touring and recording we have all had our share of amazing times, but in the last few weeks it has become clear that this is the end of the road for our band.”

Originally forming in Canberra in 2005, their raucous noise and riotous shows saw them rise from obscurity to notoriety in no time, winning Triple J Unearthed 2006, and playing Homebake that year. 2007 was a huge year for the band – their debut self-titled debut was released through Dot Dash, they won Triple J Unearthed and the Unearthed J award as well as the SOYA award. Last year the band toured to singer Karina Utomo and brother/ drummer Nugie Utomo’s home country of Indonesia, to play packed out shows complete with massive billboards of the band and military security! The band played countless headline shows around Australia as well as touring with the likes of Midnight Juggernauts, Shihad, Erase Errata, Cansei Der Sexy and Love Is All.

Make sure you don’t miss your last chance to see the band tear it up!
