Black Sabbath New Album ’13’ To Drop In June

Following all the excitement of last week, it’s looking like this week could be just as big, with the announcement today that Black Sabbath’s first album in 35 years will be officially released this coming June.

According to Consequence of Sound, the album dubbed ’13’ will be released just after the band are in town for their headlining tour, meaning that the show won’t be jam-packed with the new. However, the potential to have a live debut off the forthcoming album is super high, which would be pretty cool seeing as the last time we heard fresh material from the band was 1978’s Never Say Die!

We also know that the album saw the band once again team up with the legendary Rick Rubin in the studio, and enlist the help of RATM sticks man Brad Wilk to fill in for Bill Ward, who burnt all bridges with the band last year.

Other than that, we know the album will feature 12 of the 15 new jams the band have recorded with their recent studio time, so by the sounds of things, this is no half-assed comeback.

More updates are sure to come through, but for now, get keen for June!
