Watch: Yeah Yeah Yeahs Reveal Trailer & Artwork For New Album ‘Mosquito’

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have revealed more details, a trailer and artwork (below) for their forthcoming new album, which has now been titled Mosquito. The album release date has been set for 15th and 16th April in the UK, so we’d expect an Australian release for sometime around then.

A message was posted on the band’s official website saying: “Man! the years whiz past but the days are long, at long last MOSQUITO will drop APRIL 16th! Really in NO time so keep your eyes and ears peeled cuz you’ll be seeing us around soon! Thanks for tuning in! They don’t love you like we do…luv YYYs”

The new album has been produced by Dave Sitek of TV on the Radio fame (who also worked with them on their last album It’s Blitz), Nick Launay, and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem, who produced one of the tracks.

The group revealed plans to release the new album a few months ago, and since then more details have slowly been trickling in to us. We’ve also been treated to new material, which the band showed off at a performance in California, revealing four new songs. This could also mean that we’ll be lucky enough to see the same if not more tracks revealed to us when they play at the Big Day Out, starting from this Friday.
