OFF! Frontman Slips Into Diabetic Coma, Cancels Shows

It’s just as well we got to see OFF! frontman Keith Morris and his comrades in full force at the Big Day Out recently, as Morris’ health has since taken a turn for the worse.

Pitchfork reports that Morris slipped into a diabetic coma soon after returning home from Australia after he failed to eat his lunch on one occasion.

His illness has forced OFF! to cancel their tour across the West Coast of the United States, which was meant to start earlier this week. The band posted the following statement on their Facebook page:

“Sadly, we have to cancel our west coast tour due to illness. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to performing in these cities in the near future.”

Morris told Rolling Stone that he currently feels a bit like a dirty T-shirt that hasn’t been washed.

“I’m a diabetic and I failed to eat lunch. Came back, hung out with my girlfriend, and the whole idea was that we were going to do what grown-ups do – go take a nap and go get something to eat,” he said. “I should have eaten first. So we did what we did, and I passed out. As I passed out, I actually blacked out and went into a diabetic-induced coma. So I’m kind of like the T-shirt that’s been sitting in the dryer for three days.”
