Grumpy Nick Cave Is Grumpy In Twitter Q&A

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds recently put out their latest album Push the Sky Away. To help promote the music, Cave hopped onto Twitter, a medium he was evidently unfamiliar with, to field questions from fans in real time. What ensued was an amusing mix of contempt and appreciation from Cave, who proved that 140 characters is about 125 more than he needs to share his thoughts.

Although Cave often took the time to answer fans questions thoughtfully, there were a handful tweets where Cave’s disdain for the micro-blogging site shone through in all its splendour. Once The Vine’s #AskNickCave Twitter Q&A got underway Cave swiftly latched onto a fan’s question to express his lack of enjoyment.

Responding to a @RonanFay’s post of, “Hi Nick. Are you hating this? I bet you’re hating this,” Cave replied in kind: “I am hating this… beyond measure and I haven’t even started yet.”

From there, Cave offers a budding musician advice on how to achieve his level of success, expresses his heightened ability to be morose, and gives his opinion on the reformation of Grinderman at Coachella 2013.

Enjoy!
