Timberlake Teams With Mumford & Sons For Coen Bros Soundtrack

Justin Timberlake recently revealed he has collaborated with Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford for the upcoming Coen Bros film Inside Llewyn Davis. As reported by MTV UK, J. Tizbanger, who stars in the film alongside Mumford’s wife, Carey Mulligan, told Capital FM the two worked together on a tune for the movie’s soundtrack.

“I did work with Marcus Mumford on the soundtrack, so I became very good friends with them,” Timberlake explained. “Marcus and myself, we all kind of worked on the music together and I don’t know any other world where we would have the opportunity to collaborate like that but it was so much fun.

“So not only will that be a great movie, but the music to it will be fantastic,” Timberlake modestly added.

Inside Llewyn Davis tells the story of musicians trying to make their mark on New York’s folk music scene in the 1960s. Not too surprising, then, that modern-day folkster Marcus Mumford was tapped for the gig.

Due out in December of this year, the film also stars John Goodman (Flight), Alex Karpovsky (Red Flag) and Garrett Hedlund (TRON: Legacy).
