Jinja Safari Taking Things Up A Notch With Debut Album

Their two EP’s have held the wolves at bay for some time now, but Jinja Safari fans are getting antsy, they need a full-length to sink their fangs into. Today the band have announced that, come May, the fans will be getting just that.

The self-titled album is said to take listeners on a rollercoaster ride through a “fantastical pop world” briefly touching on everything from African, Indian and indie-inspired sounds, without spending enough time on either to be pigeonholed.

The first taste test from the record, Plagiarist, hit the radio today, so you needn’t stress about waiting until Friday, 17th March to hear what the band have been scheming. No doubt the release will be followed shortly by tour dates, which is equally as exciting given that Jinja Safari are as riveting through your headphones as they are through the foldback.

The album was championed by the band’s magician of a frontman Marcus Azon and also bears the fingerprints of collaborator / producer Pepa Knight.
