The Temper Trap Working With Frank Ocean’s Producer For Third Album

The Temper Trap have quietly announced some pretty exciting news, casually dropping the fact that Frank Ocean’s channel ORANGE producer, Malay, has been added to the mix for credits on their third album.

The band revealed on Twitter they just spent half a week working with Malay, who recently produced and engineered the entirety of channel ORANGE, as well as previously working with Big Boi, John Legend and Alicia Keys.

Even though they’ve just finished touring with Future Music Festival, and are going to be doing the regional rounds with Groovin’ The Moo in May, it hasn’t stopped The Temper Trap from working on new music lately and it looks like they’re not doing things by halves.

Although we’ve yet to hear anything from the third album, new Temper Trap tunes are still trickling through, with members Jonathon Aherne and Lorenzo Sillitto talking to Music Feeds at Future Music about their recently rereleased second album, which features a bonus disc with a handful of new tracks as well as a couple of drastically rearranged acoustic versions of some of their classic tracks. Check out the interview and photos from the day below, and get excited for TT3!
