Melbourne partners in crime Amy Franz and Hayley McKee, who have found considerable traction making and playing music under the guise of Super Wild Horses have emerged from the studio, new album in hand and will be hitting the road in support of Crosswords.
The pair have risen high atop the wave of support currently surrounding the lo-fi garage / DIY scene Down Under. Minimalism and sparse soundscapes are fast becoming the trade mark of Super Wild Horses, who weave their tracks together with a delicate tapestry of guitar, keys and duelling harmonies.
Of course adding plenty of flesh to the tunes for the album, the pair incorporated a cheeky bit of extra instrumentation, percussion and vocals, bringing a whole new dimension to their live performance. Already Super Wild Horses have feathers in their caps in the form of a USA Tour, Big Day Out, and several support slots.
