A competition put in to action by Genero.tv and the dudes from Muse called out to fans to hit the drawing board and come up with a video for the band’s next single Animal and now the winning submission has now been unveiled, bringing dark visuals that sync perfectly with the ominous atmosphere in the track.
This particular track is a strong representation of the motifs explored through The 2nd Law, being socioeconomic unrest and a common sense of fear, and the video portrays it perfectly. The animation works well and the storyline is actually quite gripping. You’ll want to stick around in the end to see what happens to the debt-collecting baddies whose greed gets the better of them. Well done, winning fans Inês Freitas and Miguel Mendes.
The 2nd Law is proving to have considerable legs since its highly anticipated release and we’ve already we’ve been treated to singles such as Madness and Follow Me, both of which also received lovely video stylings.
In other Muse news, the band have almost confirmed that they will be in town this December, starting with Perth, so the much-sought-after Australian tour for The 2nd Law is sure to be announced officially in the not too distant future.
