If you haven’t been getting enough surf rock lately, Hooded Fang might be the remedy.
The band hail from Toronto (Canada), but don’t let that fool you, the tunes on their latest LP (Tosta Mista) could easily sneak their way into the Beach Boys back catalogue. I could also hear some 50s girl pop influences coming through, as well singers like Percy Sledge (particularly on ballad, Den Of Love).
Listen to Hooded Fang if you’re into Dick Dale, The Bees, The Ronettes, the bands mentioned above OR if the girl you want to ask to the prom has already said yes to someone more handsome than you.
