Battle Atop Mount Queensrÿche – Who Will Release The First Album?

For those previously unaware, in this current timeline there’s not 1 but 2 versions of the band Queensrÿche – the first fronted by the band’s latest lead singer Todd La Torre, the second by former lead singer Geoff Tate – which is fine and dandy, until it comes time to release a new album…

Both bands are gearing up to release brand-new records this year and will stop at nothing to ensure theirs is released before the others. As VVN Music reports, Queensrÿche I (the TLT camp) have recently announced that they have scrapped plans to tour the UK, moving the dates to October in an effort to speed up the new album, which contains “some of the best music of [Queensrÿche’s] career”, according to the band, who also said, “We would put it out tomorrow if it was within our power for you all to hear.”

Meanwhile, over at Queensrÿche II (Version Tate.0), everything seems to be running smoothly for their album release, which will most likely hit the market first. It’s expected some time around 23rd April, after previously announcing its release date would be later in the year. According to a post from the band, the rush has taken its toll:

“Just got a new gig… “re-mixing” the latest Queensrÿche record, seems there are sonic issues with the previous versions and so… I shall be fixing it for all to enjoy !!! I love to mix music, very creative part of a production, mixing it all together…. I’ll keep you all posted as it proceeds, starting on it tomorrow morning 🙂 If anyone else out there needs professional mixes done feel free to contact me here… It can happen !!”

Of course, whichever way release dates fall, Queensrÿche fans win…unless pride gets in the way and an album is rushed for the sake of bragging rights, in which case we all lose.
