Fleetwood Mac Debut New Song, First Record In 10 Years To Be Released “In A Few Days”

Fleetwood Mac have announced that the celebrated West Coast act will release a new EP “in a few days” while onstage at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia. Lindsey Buckingham was the one who broke the news, informing those in attendance that the new material is “the best stuff Fleetwood Mac have done in a long time”.

Buckingham always mentioned that Fleetwood Mac has recorded a “whole bunch of stuff” that the band is unsure what to do with at the present time – sounds like a full-length follow-up to 2003s Say You Will could be in the works. Once Buckingham was done sharing the good news, Fleetwood Mac then proceeded to perform one of the new songs from the EP, titled Sad Angel. You can check out the new track below.

Key member Christine McVie has been absent from the Mac’s live show for a while, but she recently told UK’s Metro that she’d be interested in returning to perform with the band:

“If they wanted me to, I might pop back on stage when they’re in London just to do a little duet or something like that.”

Currently in the midst of the US leg of their reunion world tour, Australian fans are still hoping that Fleetwood Mac will venture Down Under. In December last year Stevie Nicks mentioned that following their tour of Europe, Fleetwood Mac “might do fifteen or so shows in Australia”.

Seems like a new EP is as good an excuse as any for a hop across the pond. Let’s hope McVie gets bitten by the performance bug and makes the trip with them.
