Airbourne is the latest name to appear on the so far fairly impressive Splendour In The Grass 2014 line-up. Between now and then, the band will be releasing their newest album Black Dog Barking, expected Monday, May 20th, so the gang will no doubt be geed-up to blow our minds.
The news came during an interview with the band’s vocalist Joel O’Keeffe, who revealed to
triple M, “We’ll be back in Australia for Splendour In The Grass and a few other shows, I think”, hinting towards some sideshows as well.
They don’t seem to be making a small deal about it either, with O’Keeffe adding, “We come with all the amps in the world… We’re here to rock n’ roll. It’s gonna be loud, it’s gonna be bright, we’re here to have a good time. You only live once!” It’s OK though, I doubt he knows about YOLO.
Just about all the details for this year’s Splendour have keen confirmed bar the line-up. Airbourne last played the festival back in 2007, so it’s about time they came back for it.
