QOTSA’s Josh Homme & Mark Lanegan Provide Theme Song For New Anthony Bourdain Show

Queens Of The Stone Age main man Josh Homme along with quasi-bandmate Mark Lanegan have lent their musical abilities to a new show by American TV personality Anthony Bourdain titled Parts Unknown, with Homme and Lanegan providing the program’s theme song.

The first episode of Parts Unknown recently premiered on CNN and sees Bourdain travel to Myanmar aka Burma. After a brief introduction from Bourdain, the new track from Homme and Lanegan starts up at the 50-second mark. It’s a nice little dual vocal bit from the QOTSA vox men, sounding both exotic and familiar and certainly puts you in the mood to see what the show has to offer.

This is just the latest collaboration between Homme and Bourdain, with the two having teamed up on Bourdain’s cultural adventure series No Reservations. Homme appeared twice on show, once for a Christmas special and second time when Bourdain focused an episode on the Californian desert.

You can check the Homme/Lanegan theme song and the first episode of Parts Unknown over at CNN.
