At The Drive-In Reunion “Wasn’t Really The Raddest” Says Bixler-Zavala

It may not come as such a surprise, but the recent run of live reunion performances has left a bad taste in the mouths of those involved with At The Drive-In. Speaking to Spin.com, Cedric Bixler-Zavala explained that inner turmoil once again raised its head, but is yet to rule out any possible future plans, however loose they may be.

When asked if the reunion shows that saw the band perform at last year’s Splendour In The Grass were well and truly over, Bixler-Zavala responded, “I guess for now, it is. But you should never say never. There’s still a lot of amends to be made and behavior to be accounted for. I know that sounds cryptic, but the reunion wasn’t really the raddest reunion we could have had. I think everyone in the band tried their best regardless of some people not looking like they wanted to be there.”

There was talk that Rodríguez-López was looking flat on stage, but it’s clear that they once again need some time alone. It shouldn’t be a problem for Cedric, who seems elbow deep in his solo project, which he was plugging earlier this year.

The latest news from the camp was that they would be reissuing releases from the band, so once again we aren’t any nearer to closure on the topic.
