Ever since discovering he’s a distant cousin of Vampire Weekend, bassist Chris Baio, the one and only Steve Buscemi, has worked tirelessly to help increase the band’s profile. From introducing them to mayoral candidates to handing out flyers, the dedicated family man has now resorted to guilt tripping those who are yet to RSVP to their upcoming gig at the family Easter brunch.
Grimes happens to experience the unfortunate coincidence of walking through the exact same park that Steve Buscemi and his pal Gino happen to be chilling in. Unable to think of a good enough excuse as to why she isn’t interested in catching the Vampire Weekend, or the family Easter brunch, the situation gets real awkward, before Steve successfully inflicts his guilt and lets them pass.
The band will be performing their American Express Unstaged gig, which Buscemi put his hand up to direct. Other than that, Vampire Weekend are currently expecting their third full-lenth, Modern Vampires of the City, which drops Friday, 10th May
