Melodic indie rockers Surfer Blood are all set to warm us up with their summertime beach tunes at Splendour In The Grass 2013 and now we’ve got official confirmation that they’ll be headlining their own shows in Sydney and Melbourne too.
The quartet from Florida made a splash with their debut album Astro Coast in 2010 and will release their highly anticipated second studio album Pythons on 14th June, just before they hit our shores. Pythons was recorded with legendary producer Gil Norton, the guy behind classic albums from Pixies, Foo Fighters and Patti Smith, and if lead single Demon Dance is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat with this record.
Surfer Blood are currently touring the US with Foals. Tickets for their Australian tour go on sale 9:00am AEST Monday, 13th May at Secret Sounds.
UPDATE: Surfer Blood have now revealed that they’ve tagged Brisbane’s rising star Jeremy Neale and Melbourne sextet The Harlots as local flavour for Melbourne, with Neale and Palms warming the crowd in Sydney.
