Paul McCartney has performed 4 songs by The Beatles for the first time on the opening night of his world tour in Brazil.
Onstage in Belo Horizonte, McCartney played for the very first time Your Mother Should Know (Magical Mystery Tour, ’67), Lovely Rita (Sgt. Pepper’s, ’67), Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite! (Sgt. Pepper’s, ’67), and All Together Now (Yellow Submarine, ’68).
Adding to the magic of the evening, McCartney opened his set with Eight Days A Week, a song Sir Paul hasn’t performed in almost 50 years, with the popular Beatles For Sale track only ever performed once by The Beatles in 1965.
The Brazilian crowd was also treated to We Can Work It Out, which McCartney hadn’t played since Glastonbury 2004.
In February, McCartney hoped a tram in New Orleans and proceeded to entertain passengers with an assortment of Beatles songs. At first McCartney was mistaken for a common busker, before his fellow commuters realised they were being serenaded by the real deal.
