Harvest Festival 2013 Dates Revealed As Lineup Begins To Leak

The dates for Harvest Festival 2013 have been revealed. The far more serene festival helmed by AJ Maddah, who also organises Soundwave, Harvest will once again take place in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in the midst of November.

And with the official dates we also have the first act to be confirmed for Harvest Festival 2013 – Neutral Milk Hotel will end a 15-year hiatus to be a part of Harvest after last month announcing their reformation, which included tentative plans to tour Australia.

At the time the only dates on Neutral Milk Hotel’s reunion tour that were confirmed were 3 US gigs, and one show apiece in Taiwan and Japan.

For those excited to see Neutral Milk Hotel but can’t make it along to Harvest, fret not. Maddah has tweeted that Neutral Milk Hotel will be playing their own headlining shows in “non Harvest cities”.

Neutral Milk Hotel’s reformation will see the “classic” lineup of Jeff Mangum, Jeremy Barnes, Scott Spillane and Julian Koster reunite – all four are featured on the band’s most celebrated album, 1998′s In The Aeroplane Over The Sea, released the year before they parted ways.

As Feeds previously reported Franz Ferdinand are also good odds to play Harvest 2013, with the band expected to tour Australia in November
