Bon Jovi Add Perth Date To 2013 Australian Tour

Western Australians, you’ve been rewarded for keeping the faith (and whinging quite a lot) – Bon Jovi have announced a new date on the Australian leg of their Because We Can tour.

The new show will see Bon Jovi and crew (with or without Richie Sambora) head to Perth Arena on Thursday, 12th December. The last time WA saw the likes of the Livin’ On A Prayer hit machine was way back in 2010 when they played the much-larger Patersons Stadium.

Bon Jovi announced their latest tour Down Under last week after months of hints and speculation, followed by a last-minute flurry of fan club emails.

At this stage it is unclear if Sambora, Bon Jovi’s guitarist, will rejoin the band for their Australian tour. Sambora left Bon Jovi during their North American tour, citing personal reasons, and is not with the band as they begin the South African and European legs of their tour.

JBJ recently told Ellen DeGeneres that, despite his absence, there is no rift between he and Sambora and that the guitarist is very much still a part of the band:

“All I can say honest to God is that it’s a personal matter, but we love him very much. He’s absolutely still a member of the band.”

We’ll just have to wait and see if Sambora is able to tour Australia with Bon Jovi. Tickets for all dates go on sale Monday, 20th May at 12 noon.
