Puddle Of Mudd Singer Wes Scantlin Arrested On Domestic Violence Charges

Puddle Of Mudd lead singer Wes Scantlin has been arrested after allegedly physically abusing his ex-wife.

Police arrived on the scene in West Hollywood on 13th May after receiving reports that Scantlin had dragged his ex-wife and pulled her by either her arm or shirt. Upon their arrival police spoke with the victim and witnesses before arresting Scantlin for domestic violence.

Scantlin was uncooperative during the arrest and “very mouthy” according to a TMZ source. The Puddle Of Mudd frontman is currently in custody with bail set at US$20,000.

Running afoul of the law is nothing new for the only remaining original member of Puddle Of Mudd. Just last week, Scantlin was arrested and bailed after being pulled over for speeding in Hollywood. The officers who stopped Scantlin uncovered 2 outstanding warrants, one related to previous traffic violation while the other was connected to cocaine possession in June last year.

Scantlin pleaded guilty to the felony and was given a deferred judgment of 10 months, during which time Scantlin was ordered to undertake drug counseling. Sounds like it’s working.

In September of 2012, Scantlin was arrested after an altercation with a Jet Blue flight attendent. Reportedly Scantlin was intoxicated and became aggressive when refused service. However, Scantlin maintained he was sober and trying to purchase only a single beer. Insufficient evidence led to the case being dropped.

This new arrest for domestic violence certainly gives credence to the Puddle Of Mudd hit single She Hates Me, which was released in 2002 (and thus is eligible for 20 Years of triple j’s Hottest 100 – voting is now open).
