Boards Of Canada Deliver New Material With ‘Reach For The Dead’

It’s been a long journey full of cryptic messages and surprise offerings on behalf of Boards Of Canada but it’s all led up to this point. Today the Scottish electronic duo have released a clip for their brand-new single Reach For The Dead, which will of course be featured on their forthcoming album Tomorrow’s Harvest.

Reach For The Dead is the first sign of album-related movement from within the camp since 2007’s The Campfire Headphase. The long wait and the mysterious revival has done wonders to fuel the hype surrounding the release, and fans will be pleased to know that, so far, Tomorrow’s Harvest seems to be a release worthy of the occasion.

Of all places, the track was premiered in the Shibuya district of Tokyo, Japan. Dozens of fans gathered in front of the big screen display, eager to catch the moment on camera. With that box ticked, the band handed the track to Marc Riley to air on his BBC Radio 6 program.

As we’ve previously mentioned, the album has been given an international release date of Tuesday, 11th June but hopefully we’ll be treated to more gems from BOC between now and then.
