Custard Reform For One Show Only This Long Weekend

Brisbane’s legendary alt-rockers Custard have announced they will be reuniting for one show only this Queens Birthday long weekend. This will be one of the few time the band has performed since their split, with no signs of there being any more so the gig is sure to be a powerful flashback to the 90’s for those who remember the time of Girls Like That

Taking place at Marrickville’s Vic on the Park Hotel, the free show will see the return of David McCormack, Paul Medew, James Straker, and Glenn Thompson to center stage. For several years the band were legends of the local scene, reaching #7 on Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 1995 for their single Apartment and lightening struck twice with their 1998 single Girls Like That (Don’t Go For Guys Like Us) which went all the way to #3.

Fans needn’t fear the members being rusty, most have kept fairly active in their craft with Thompson and McCormack continuing to jam, and various solo projects. Back in 2009, Custard got together for a run of shows, which included a stint at Queensland’s 150th Anniversary concert and Meredith festival in 2010.
