UNSW OKTOBERFEST – Size does matter

The 2009 UNSW Oktoberfest is set to attract over 8000 students from across Sydney to five stages of entertainment at UNSW’s iconic Roundhouse.

Sydney’s Hook N Sling, along with Aston Shuffle, Olsen vs LC, Purple Sneakers Djs Feat M.I.T Ben Lucid and I Heart Hiroshima headline a 25-strong live music bill covering electro, hip hop, R&B, indie and acoustic sets. UNSW student’s frugal desires are satisfied with free entry before 5pm, and so is their thirst with 6 purpose-built bars ready to live up to Oktoberfest tradition.

A tradition of oom pah-pah bands, booze, bratwurst and bad German accents… It’s your chance to be a student and dance like no-one is watching. Tickets are available at the door and punters are encouraged to get in early; last year capacity was reached in record time, with 2000 herrs and fräuleins turned away from the festivities.
