Swervedriver Heading To Australia To Perform ‘Raise’ In Its Entirety

Alrighty kids, it’s time to jump in your old Mustang Ford ’cause shoegaze legends Swervedriver are back in the driver’s seat, heading to Australia to play their seminal album, Raise, in its entirety, along with other old and new favourites.

The Swervies smashed onto the scene in 1991 with the groundbreaking debut, which you probably remember for tracks such as Son Of A Mustang Ford (reminisce with the video below) and Sandblasted, dropping another 3 classic alt-rock-meets-dreamy-pop records before disbanding in ’98. They then reformed in 2008, with the Adam Franklin-led quartet hitting the road and virtually staying there ever since.

This tour will see the Oxonians play shows in Brisbane, Perth and most of the major stops in-between, this September and October. When they last came our way in 2011, we described them as “rock solid and flawless”, so this is sure to be a gig you don’t want to miss.

Tickets go on sale 9:00am AEST, Wednesday, 12th June.
