Babyshambles Officially Announce New Album ‘Sequel To The Prequel’

English rock outfit Babyshambles are all set to release their third studio album this August, Sequel To The Prequel, the first new music from Pete Doherty and friends since Shotter’s Nation almost 6 years ago.

First single Nothing Comes To Nothing will be coming out on 16th July, just in time for us to learn all the words before the trio hit Australia for the very first time to play Splendour In The Grass and a series of sideshows in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth. The full length record will drop on 30th August, a little earlier than the band’s previously stated September release date.

Sequel To The Prequel promises to contain the trio’s usual hooks and humour, with Doherty telling NME, “I don’t want this to be half arsed, I want to get up there and really fucking smash it out. Babyshambles aren’t back, this band has always been here.”

Doherty has also recently discussed his plans to sell the butts of ciggies smoked by Kate Moss and Amy Winehouse, which we also imagine he won’t do half arsed.

Sequel To The Prequel is out Friday, 30th August.
