Franz Ferdinand Release Video Clip For New Single ‘Right Action’

Franz Ferdinand have released the video feature for their recently unveiled track Right Action. The track will feature on the indie lords’ fourth studio album, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, and sees the band add another name to the extensive list of collaborators for the record.

The band worked with Swedish music video specialist Jonas Odell for the clip, which incorporates elements from a series of texts on Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology published by Pelikan in the late 1950s in a manner you are sure to find oh so aesthetically pleasing. Don’t be surprised if you feel a spell of deja vu come on as the band haven’t exactly reinvented their sound and Odell was the mastermind behind the clip for their 2004 mega hit Take Me Out. But hey, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

For the actual track itself, Franz Ferdinand teamed up with Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor of Hot Chip who are just two names featured on the band’s top notch guest list for the record. Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action is set to drop Down Under Friday, 23rd August.

Franz Ferdinand will also be performing as part of Harvest Festival 2013 this November with Massive Attack, Primus and Goldfrapp.
