Green Days have crowned the winner of a competition to find a video for their track Nuclear Family. Pittsburg resident Kyle Stein has won the competition with his animated submission which includes an animated live performance from the band as well as plenty of subtle references to Green Day albums past.
Nuclear Family was part of the heavily publicised 3-part release ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!. Fans had the option to choose any track from any of the three albums, with Nuclear Family being featured on the first release, ¡Uno!. Stein was good enough to give an interview regarding his entry which you can read from the official Green Day website right here.
This has been a rare sign of life from within the Green Day camp, as momentum seemed to slow following Billy Joe Armstrong’s onstage explosion. Unfortunately, we are still no closer to learning when the band will be returning to Australian soil, though it ought to be soon – fans are getting antsy!
