Currently proving to the nation just how little fury they’ve lost, You Am I have announced they won’t be making it up to Mackay this weekend for their scheduled performance in the city.
The band took to Facebook to announce that the show, scheduled to take place at Mackay Entertainment Centre this Sunday, 11th August, has officially been cancelled due to “unforeseen family circumstances”. The Mackay leg was one of the more recently announced shows and would have been the final of an extensive nation-wide tour. At this stage, the previous shows in Darwin and Cairns will go ahead as scheduled.
Ticket holders for the Mackay show have been directed to their point of purchase for refunds. There has been no word of another show being announced in lieu of this weekend. Full statement below.
