Eminem Debuts ‘Berzerk’ Teaser Featuring Kendrick Lamar & Rick Rubin On ESPN

Eminem went on US sports network ESPN to premiere a teaser for the video for new single Berzerk, during the half-time segment of a Saturday Night college grid iron game. The teaser clip revealed cameos from super-producer Rick Rubin and hip hop young gun Kendrick Lamar.

The single is slated to become the official song of ESPN’s “Saturday Night Football” broadcasts and as such, Mr. Mathers himself appeared on the channel to celebrate the new partnership and to unveil the teaser for the upcoming music video.

Em first appeared “disoriented,” simply swaying slowly from side-to-side with mouth agape, much to the delight of one of the broadcasters, before regaining composure to discuss his upcoming album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2.

With the sequel to his 2000 smash The Marshall Mathers LP slated for a November release, the rapper was asked what he’s most excited about with regards to the much-awaited album, jokingly replying “Nothing.” He described the album as “a revisit to the first Marshall Mathers LP” but kept any further details under wraps, instead showing some love for his hometown football team, the Detroit Lions.

The single is Eminem’s first in almost three years, last appearing on the charts with Rihanna on the 2010 hit Love The Way You Lie, and has already been lauded as a return to the rapper’s “Slim Shady” days of world-domination.

The clip prominently features Rick Rubin, who served as one of several executive producers on the new album, as well as Kendrick Lamar, possibly hinting at a collaboration on the album. Earlier this month it was revealed that an Australian tour is likely for early 2014.
