Maynard James Keenan: ‘Music Is Happening On All Fronts’ For Tool, A Perfect Circle & Puscifer

Iconic alt-metal frontman and wine enthusiast Maynard James Keenan has taken to Instagram to assure fans that they can expect music from all three of his major projects including flagship Tool, as well as A Perfect Circle and Puscifer to surface in the near future.

The notoriously evasive frontman, who most often declines discussing the progress of new musical output, marked his 666th Instagram post by posting a selfie and offering some hope for fans, stating “For my 666th IG photo, I’d just like to say…Music is happening on ALL fronts. Always.” Keenan post-scripted the message by tagging his bands Tool, A Perfect Circle and Puscifer and hash-tagging “tool2014.”

News regarding Tool’s upcoming fifth studio effort has been confused since the band announced work on the album earlier this year. Back in July, Music Feeds reported that the band’s drummer Danny Carey had suggested an early 2014 release for the new record, with Keenan’s involvement in the new material confirmed on an episode of comedian Marc Maron’s WTF Podcast in August.

No details have yet surfaced regarding new material from Keenan’s other two projects, supergroup A Perfect Circle and pet-project Puscifer.
