The Bamboos Announce New Album ‘Fever In The Road’ And National Tour Dates

Architects of the modern Australian soul music sound, The Bamboos are once again back to redefine the genre with their latest full-length album Fever In The Road. To celebrate the release, The Bamboos will be loading up the van and hitting the road for a run of headlining dates throughout November and December, so get ready to groove.

For their sixth studio album The Bamboos teamed up with ARIA-nominated producer John Castle (Washington, Josh Pyke, Kate Miller-Heidke), a man who understands the landscape of Australian music better than most. The self-described “genre-defying” album is said to be “leaner and more muscular, yet upon closer inspection the tracks reveal themselves to be densely multi-layered in a ‘Wall Of Sound’ style”.

The Bamboos well and truly conquered 2012 with the release of Medicine Man, which featured appearances from Daniel Merriweather, Megan Washington and Tim Rogers, found its way into the ARIA Australian Album Top 10 and hit #1 on the iTunes R&B/Soul Chart and netted the band three ARIA Award nominations.

Fever In The Road is yet to be given a release date, though fans are sure to experience some of new gems on the tour. Lead single Avenger is available on iTunes now. Check out the album trailer below.
