Listen To Arcade Fire Cover Peter Gabriel’s ‘Games Without Frontiers’

With all the excitement surrounding Reflektor, the upcoming fourth album from Arcade Fire, it’s good to remember that behind all the hype are a band worthy of all the praise, as proven in their cover of Peter Gabriel‘s Games Without Frontiers.

The Montreal band’s rendition of Gabriel’s 1980 hit is set to be included on the forthcoming collection of Gabriel cover songs, titled And I’ll Scratch Yours. The compilation follows on in response to 2010’s Scratch My Back, a collection of covers recorded by Gabriel including tracks by David Bowie, Talking Heads, Radiohead, and Arcade Fire’s own My Body Is A Cage.

The new record features Gabriel songs covered by many of the artists featured on Scratch My Back, including Bon Iver, Elbow, David Byrne, Brian Eno, Stephin Merrit, Randy Newman, Paul Simon and more.

Reflektor‘s tracklist has recently been revealed, and frontman Win Butler has told fans to expect surprises throughout Reflektor.
