Earlier this month, Stone Temple Pilots, armed with the new artillery of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, released their second single off their upcoming High Rise EP, Black Heart, and have now accompanied it with an official lyric video.
Directed by Lior Molcho, who’s worked with Newsted, The Active Set, and Diana Meyer, the clip is an interesting take on the lyric video, which has the words from Black Heart scribed on a male actor as tattoos. The track harks back to earlier releases from the band, with Bennington sounding eerily similar to original frontman Scott Weiland.
The group kicked off their North American tour this month and will be making their way Down Under in 2014 to play Soundwave Festival.The High Rise EP is scheduled for an Aussie release of Friday, 11th October, with Black Heart the follow-up to the release’s first single, Out Of Time.
